Mr. Freedman concentrates in business and real estate law. He represents a wide range of business clients in all aspects of business, including ownership, governance and succession, acquisitions, sales, licensing and other contractual relationships, reorganizations, joint ventures and a wide variety of other business transactions. Mr. Freedman has extensive real estate experience, serving as counsel to a diverse array of developers and property owners in connection with the acquisition, financing and leasing of residential, commercial and industrial projects.

He graduated from Haverford College, received a Masters Degree in International Relations at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and received his J.D. from Villanova Law School.  He clerked for the Honorable J. Sydney Hoffman on the Superior Court of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, an appellate court with statewide jurisdiction.

Mr. Freedman is one of the founders of Chace Ruttenberg & Freedman, LLP.  He is a former partner in the Providence law firm of Tillinghast Licht & Semonoff and was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1977 and the Rhode Island Bar in 1979.  He is a past president of Temple Emanu-El, The Workplace, Inc., and The Brown-RISD Hillel Foundation.  He currently serves on the Pawtucket Historic District Commission and on the Board of Overseers and Executive Committee of Moses Brown School.
