Mr. Zimmerman concentrates in intellectual property law. He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He assists clients in prosecuting patent and trademark applications, as well as the licensing of intellectual property rights. He also advises clients on all aspects of antitrust law. He is a 1974 graduate of Harvard University and a 1978 graduate of Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California. He also holds a masters degree from Brown University.

Mr. Zimmerman is one of the founders of Chace Ruttenberg & Freedman, LLP. He is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the State Bar of California, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
